Today I turned 51 years old. Since I live in the most beautiful areas of the planet I decided to drive out to Divide, Colorado which winds toward the Continental Divide. If you enjoy using Google Earth check out places like Buena Vista, Creede and Durango, Colorado. Go to the street level view and do a 360. The mountains are absolutely stunning.
New Book for Start-Up Attorneys
I am working on a new book, co-authored with Matthew Williamson, Esq. titled: “An Attorney’s Guide to Starting a Consumer Bankruptcy Practice.” The book is still in the infancy stage where I am writing new material. Next, I will read through the first draft and add the “content depth” to the book. Then, I will do a complete edit myself before sending to Attorney Williamson for proofreading, editing and adding his part to the text. After this revision cycle, the book will be sent to the editor for a final proof. When the final proof is returned from the editor, I will put together the electronic book version and announce it for sale. At this stage, it will take from 4 to 6 weeks before the printed version is ready to ship.
New Training CD Being Developed
When Clay Holland was here last week for training he suggested that people need more training materials to practice on before they feel comfortable working for an attorney. The only problem holding me back from doing this before was because I thought it would be unlawful for me to publish REAL client intake forms. I thought I had no choice but to make up information and typeset it onto Client Intake Forms, then compile a bankruptcy petition with questions for the client, then print out a final bankruptcy petition (like I did with the Bankruptcy Training Workbook.)
This is why I suggested to people (who wanted more practice materials) to give a blank set of client intake forms to friends and relatives to fill out and return to them. It would be the same thing I would be doing if I published a book using bogus information. Instead, I wanted to be able to provide VBAs with real client intake forms, filled out by a real person, who filed a real case and the case can be tracked on PACER. This form of training would provide VBAs with a real world experience which should help to build confidence as well as legal skills.
However, before I could publish this type of training manual I had to meet with a Copyright Attorney and obtain legal advice. I am happy to report that I met with Brenda Speer, Esq., an attorney in downtown Colorado Springs. She has provided me with the approval I needed to go forward with this project and I am happy to announce that this product will be available soon. Ms. Speer said that since the data provided on the client intake forms is considered public information, I have the ability to publish it for training purposes. Besides, my books are not main stream and would not pose a threat to anyone anyway. Also, my books are sold only through our company website which provides us with control over the distribution and the people who are purchasing them. So, due to these factors, Ms. Speer has provided the way for a brand new product that will be instrumental in training others.
Geraldine Dinkin to Visit
Geraldine Dinkin, a virtual bankruptcy assistant in training, will be arriving from Florida to spend two days with me training on July 13. It is always a pleasure to have visitors come to Colorado. We get a lot accomplished, plus people are learning from me on a personalized, one-on-one basis.
I also personalize every training session to the needs of the virtual bankruptcy assistant. Clay Holland, for example, spent two days training in more advanced areas of debtor bankruptcy. This is because Clay had already spent several months studying the materials and knew the basics before he arrived in Colorado Springs. Geraldine felt she would learn better working directly with me. Therefore, I will have a bankruptcy petition ready for her to begin on when she gets here. I will have her input the information and train her as she progresses through the Schedules.
If you are interested in jump starting your career in this field, you are welcome to come to Colorado Springs also. Visit this link for more information:

Remember: There is no college where you can pay less than $500 to attend. Besides, when you graduate from college, you not only have a large student loan debt that will take years to pay off but you have to begin at the bottom earning $35,000 or so per year. But a well-trained, professional and successful virtual bankruptcy assistant can easily make $35,000 a MONTH and not have a student loan to pay off. As you can see, this training opportunity is well worth every penny.
Michael Misenheimer to Visit Colorado Springs
Many of you know Michael Misenheimer as being instrumental in saving the business back in 2007 when I suddenly went into a coma for 3 weeks. To read the full story, visit:

But even though Michael is like a son to me, he also is a whiz at creditor bankruptcy. Michael has received many awards for his pro bono work. He works for a large law firm in downtown Atlanta, Georgia and he has been a guest at many of our teleconferences. When he visits, we always spend a great deal of time talking about the world and business of bankruptcy. It is a pleasure to share our worlds and I get to learn more about the creditor side so I can write more articles to train you with.
Michael decided to take a small vacation and fly to Denver on July 17. The last time he visited me I was still living in Columbus, Ohio so this will be Michael’s first view of the Rocky Mountains. I plan to take him to Alamosa and visit the Great Sand Dunes; then the second day visiting the plains of Colorado which are located out in Ellicott, Rush and Cheyenne Wells, Colorado.
The Online Deed and Land Records Search CD
This new training product was announced recently and it is becoming very popular. People who have purchased it have sent me emails about how much the information has helped them. I produced this video because so many people express their frustration about not being able to find records online. Instead, when they try to do a search for free records, they are faced with millions or companies who want to do the job for them; for a fee, of course.
However, public information should never be paid for unless you want to save time. But millions of companies take free public information, package it into a product and make billions of dollars selling information that is free. They believe they are saving people time and therefore people pay them for their time to obtain information that is free. But if their only purpose was in saving people time, why do they bombard the internet, making it almost impossible to find the free information? I would summarize the companies making billions of dollars selling free information do not want you to find the free sources readily. But I don’t care. In my video I show you how to do it.

Summary
I hope everyone has a wonderful week and I thank you for sharing the past week with me. It was a pleasure turning 51 years old today. The older I get, the wiser I become. I also find that I am getting more patient and I take my time doing things, rather than rushing through them like I did when I was younger. I cannot wait to see how fun 61 is going to be. If the Lord does not take me before then, I will still be here in Colorado Springs writing books and producing videos. It is something I dearly love to do and I thank you for being in my life to share it with me.
